Date: October 1, 2019 | By Reema Chopra

I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.

Vincent Van Gogh

This is the perspective of artist Arcadia on her art and life. Arcadia GSINE Turkey/Gypsy-Czech born artist who aligned herself with art and artists with a beautiful heart she expresses her feelings and shares her experiences with the world.

I am committed to partnering with the most forward-thinking Canadian artists of our time and bringing their visions to life. Here, in their own words, many of these artists share their creative process and their stories. At my blog, I love to dig deep with Canadian artists to find out what inspires them to create their art!

We artists, often refer to our life’s work as pursuing a passion, but how do we define “passion?” Whether it’s a memory or a feeling, a piece of art can evoke powerful emotions when we look at it. So when you find yourself questioning why you create art, take a deep breath, and reconnect with the passion that keeps you going, that makes your blood flow. When you feel for something as strongly as you want to breath, then you have a passion!

I was more than thrilled to interview Arcadia GSINE about her deep passion for arts as well as for other fellow artists. A special thanks and gratitude to Arcadia for contributing to this interview! Her beautiful paintings, abstract artworks will add stylish look to any modern space. I do consider Arcadia as an ARTIVIST, as she is creating a community of diverse artists and bringing them all together for a greater cause.

What is an ARTIVIST?

An activist who incorporates creativity into his or her schtick without losing credibility or street cred. And even if he or she does lose a little of those two things, the art usually makes up for the loss, rendering the person more soulful and/or funky, or at the very least rejuvinated for more activism-- sort of like what happens with religion, but less complicated, depending on the scope of the artivistic endeavor.

Not sure what does this mean, but I like painting at home where I feel comfortable, but I would love to paint in AGO one day.

To be honest, no. My biggest inspiration are people who believe in me and I have big fantasy and dreams.

Actually, I do not seek others approval, I create my own opportunities in life, I create my own art exhibition, I look for artists who aren't able join exhibition because of some reasons, I let them display their art works and in return take some commission fee. My exhibitions are about fun, helping other artists, we can learn from each other and establish good working relationships with other like minded individuals.

Now I'm working on Music Art, emotional when we hear music we live and love. As my job is not static, my projects are flexible and will constantly evolve.

Do you consider yourself an “ARTIVIST”

I am at first a Designer, so my passion is to make everything look nice. Art is passion for me and breaking the barriers is a real challenge. I think, I am an artivist because I am trying to put some things together which aren’t really existing and to make them nice and Interesting. I like to use materials what no one thinks of using it.

What does your art aim to say to your audience?

My art show says more about my feelings, and about who I am. Each new painting is an opportunity to ‘out-do’ myself and create a personal best.
